Jayde’s brilliance takes her back Down Under for world series

This is her second selection to tour Down Under having played in Brisbane, Australia in the same tournament in 2015 as a 12-year-old, which made her the youngest player in the team.

Jayde Symons from Boksburg has been selected for the SA u-17 women indoor cricket squad to take part in the Junior Indoor Cricket World Series in Christchurch, New Zealand in October.

This follows two impressive displays during trials held in Centurion in November last year and January this year respectively.

She’s also represented Gauteng at provincial level in outdoor cricket on the u-13 level in 2015 and 2016; u-16 last year and she was also part of the girls u-16 invitational team at the recent Sunfoil Night Tournament.

However, she does need financial support in getting her to the Land of the Long White Cloud with her tour’s total estimated cost set to be R45 000.

For contribution details, you may contact Symons’s mother, Nicolette on 072 147 5167 or email supermumof3@gmail.com
