Estate agents are sold on animal welfare

So far, three bakkie-loads of dog and cat food and blankets have been delivered to the SPCA.

Clé Properties in Atlas Mall has taken the initiative to assist the Boksburg SPCA by donating pet food with the help of the public.

They placed collection boxes at various stores across Boksburg as a plea to customers to remember the pets at the SPCA when doing their shopping.

Property consultant JP Geyser said: “Our initiative started in October last year with the aim of reaching out to communities and helping where it is needed.

“Every year we have four organisations that we reach out to. This year, the Boksburg SPCA was our first project and our plan is for the project to be ongoing.”

Geyser urged people to look out for the collection boxes and to continue supporting their initiative.

SPCA manager Maggie Mudd said: “As we are running extremely low on dog food, this donation came at just the right time and we cannot thank Clé Properties enough for their kindness.”

If you would like to contribute towards the initiative, contact Clé Properties Boksburg on Facebook or directly contribute through their collection boxes at Atlas Superspar (corner of Reier and Finch roads, Atlasville), Boksburg Superspar (corner of Leeuwpoort and Kruger roads, Boksburg East), Boksburg Animal Hospital (corner of Paul Smit Street and 11th Avenue, Boksburg North), Sunward Park Spar (Kingfisher Avenue, Sunward Park), Checkers Elridge (corner of Elizabeth and Ridge roads, Impala Park), The Palms Superspar (North Rand Road, Beyers Park), The Square Superspar (Rietfontein Road, Jansen Park), Westwood Superspar (corner of Atlas and Phillips roads, Beyers Park).
