New drifting season kicks off at The Rock Raceway
First round of the South African Drift Championships promises plenty of thrills
Are you a petrol-head adrenaline junkie? If so, then this one is for you.
Drift fans will be delighted as another brand-new season of drifting kicks off at The Rock Raceway on February 10.
The first round of the South African Drift Championships will be action packed and full of sideways antics from local drifters who will be out to dazzle and impress the crowds and judges.
All eyes will be track-side as the drifters purposefully attempt to lose control of their chariots and demonstrate that they can skilfully regain control as they make their tyres scream around the circuit and create plumes of smoke to trigger an adrenaline rush in all of those watching.
Drift fans are encouraged to fill the stands to cheer on their driving heroes.
The judges’ skilful circuit layout will test the skill levels of all the drifters as they chase the ultimate prize at victory lane.
Gates open at 10am with practice sessions for drifters. Qualifying and event proceedings will commence at 4pm.
Fans are encouraged to bring along banners depicting their support of their favourite competitors.
