Reiger Park’s Keanan eyes Mr SA title

Francis wants to set an example of what it means to be a man of honour.

Reiger Park’s Keanan Francis (25) is a top 12 finalist in the Mr South Africa contest, the grand finale of which takes place in Cape Town on February 24.

Francis, who is an operations administrator, describes himself as being passionate about people.

“I am kind-hearted and I love meeting new people. I always put the needs of others before myself and will always go out of my way to assist others with whatever I can.

I am always grateful for whatever opportunities I am presented with and will never look at anything as to small. I’m a good listener and always wear my heart on my sleeve and I love seeing people succeed in all they do.

“I’m an outgoing individual and I love spending time with my family and friends. I am an adrenaline junky within my own limits and love adventures. ”

His favourite quote is by Mahatma Gandhi: “Be the change that you wish to see in the world.”

If he wins the title, he would then want to set an example for all South Africans, especially the young men of South Africa.

I will always lead by example and will present myself as the selfless and caring person that I am. I will carry the Mr South Africa title with pride and will portray gentleman like behaviour at all times.

“Community and charity work is one of the things closest to my heart. I would like to tackle social issues within different communities as per the needs of the people.”

According to Francis, Mr South Africa should be a leader, a man of honour and a philanthropist at heart.

“Mr South Africa should stand strong in his beliefs and shouldn’t be afraid to get his hands dirty.”
