Baanbreker aces new tournament
Laerskool Baanbreker's A tennis team won the first Gauteng East primary schools Super League, which was played at the Gauteng East Complex in Lakeside, Benoni on October 23.
Sixteen teams from nine schools in the Alberton, Boksburg, Benoni, Germiston and Kempton Park areas participated in the fourth term competition and Boksburg was represented by Laerskool Baanbreker’s A and B teams.
President of Gauteng East Tennis Association Ken Smith said: “We hope to grow this league for the next year and make it an annual event. All players enjoyed themselves and played terrific tennis.”
