United romp home to beat Boksburg in high scoring derby

United scored six tries, with their ‘in-form’ fly half, Andy Huysamen, adding the extra points via three conversions and four penalties in the Valke Peregrine League clash.

Half-time score was 30-14 to the visitors – who also broke the Boksburg hoodoo.

United hadn’t beaten the Owls since their ascension to the Premier League, prior the encounter.

United coach, Stephan Nel said: “I told the guys before the match that it was a must-win; we had no choice and losing wasn’t an option. I can thank all my players because, overall, they played very well. There are still a few issues we need to fix – like our kick-offs, but everybody put their bodies on the line. They knew exactly what to do and they gave it 150 per cent.”
