Boksburg beauty Janine has her sights on the Mrs SA title

Live. Love. Leave a legacy.

This motto encapsulates Janine Habig’s life.

Janine, who was born and bred in Sunward Park, is a semi-finalist in this year’s Mrs SA competition.

She was also a semi-finalist in the competition last year and is this year positive and determined to get a spot in the Top 25 (to be announced at Emperors Palace on April 28).

By doing things that she knows and enjoys to the fullest, is how Janine lives.

“It’s how I try to leave my mark and make a difference in the world.”

She is involved with the Bramley’s Children Home, based in Groenkloof. Here, she teaches and mentors young girls and enjoys joining them in their various activities and games.

“I like to believe that this is how I can stay connected to my inner child,” she said.

Janine recently became involved with one of their church projects, HOPE, where they collect food for needy families.

“I am constantly looking for ways I can help people around me. I do it simply for altruistic reasons.”

“Time is short and there is no time to sit around.

“I love my impulsive personality and do things which most people wouldn’t dream of doing by being impulsive. I love trying out new things.

“I want to leave a legacy which will make people think ‘if she did it, I can do it’,” said Janine.

This is one of the main reasons why she entered Mrs SA for the second time.

“No matter what your dream is, you can pursue it if your heart is in the right place and if you are willing to work hard.”
