Two police officers were gunned down on Sunday November 27.
The resident, who wished to remain anonymous, said she noticed a police van that was parked on the side of the road in Jones Street.
“I was on my way to the Emperors Palace – a white unmarked Golf drove past me in the opposite direction and it stopped in the middle of the road near the police van.
“I saw the driver of the Golf step out and walking towards the van while the officer on the passenger side of the van stepped out of the car.”
This resident thought it was quite strange for this Golf to just stop in the middle of the road.
“I wanted to make a U-turn to see what was happening but I decided otherwise,” she said.
She then proceeded with her journey.
Later when she came back from Emperors Palace, the stretch of road in Jones Street was barricaded with police tape.
“I was very shocked to learn that there was a shooting – I actually saw those people who were involved,” she said.
