ERBW end year with a fabulous bang
The East Rand Business Women recently closed off their last meeting for the year on a high note at the Birchwood Hotel.
In keeping with the theme “Tea with the Queen”, the women looked fabulous.
They were treated to fruit cocktails, coffee, fresh muffins, and to top it all they were served a delicious main course.
They listened to the beautiful sounds of Classique Strings, which had them pulling out their dance moves on the floor.
To spice things up, they had their own awards in different categories to celebrate women in business.
Antoinette du Toit of Creative Sales won in the Up-and-Coming Business Woman of the Year category.
Karen Herbst from Sanlam Financial Advisor won in the Corporate Business Woman of the Year category while the Community Builder of the Year award went to Mary Goby.
The most anticipated award of the day, Business Woman of the Year, went to Antoinette Swanepoel, director and shareholder of Malherbe Rigg and Ranwell.
Marinda Lombaard said at the end of her term as chairperson of the East Rand Business Women that she had had a great time since taking up the post.
“I am much aware of the wealth of wisdom among the female entrepreneurs and business women in the East Rand. The amazing women that I have worked with are hardworking ladies with so much perseverance and dedication to achieve their goals.
“Each member has access to the database of the organisation and the networking at meetings helped to motivate the ladies and liaise with other business partners. We have had a great year. I wish every member well for their future endeavours,” Lombaard said.
They also gave away amazing prizes for best-dressed women.
