Riding on their superbikes, members of the motorcycle organisation created a lot of excitement when they rolled into the centre in numbers.

According to HOG’s Frik Weldhagen, his organisation annually begins collecting blankets for the needy before the onset of winter.

Those blankets are then donated to various charity organisations that benefit the needy.

He said his organisation is noted for its philanthropic activities, adding that, during a brief tour of the centre, prior to the official handover, bikers noticed that residents are facing shortfalls in other necessities.

“For that reason, we will see if we can organise a fund-raising event to help residents of the centre,” he said.
