Sevamob serves poor communities with medical care
Sevamob has recurrently visited different areas of Reiger Park, to provide medical care to the needy residents who are unable to afford or access it
Sevamob is a Sandton-based healthcare company that provides a primary healthcare services to low-income families.
The company’s mobile clinic has, during February, spent three days in Reiger Park, where a team of nurses provided hundreds of children, adults and elderly people with free medical check-ups.
The sites included the Reiger Park Community Crisis Centre on February 3, Bethel Community Church on February 7 and Reiger Park Primary on February 11.
Among other services, the clinic provided haemoglobin testing, screenings for hearing, vision and dental, examining heart rhythms as well as referrals to specialists.
According to the company’s marketing manager, Trevor Reeby, access to health care is a major problem for many Reiger Park residents living at or below the poverty line.
Therefore, his company decided to fill the gaps in the healthcare system. -@FanieFLK
