According to Reiger Park SAPS spokesperson, Sgt Mashudu Phathela, the first shooting happened on Saturday, August 30, 2014.
The man police identified as 26-year-old Nzemezi Samuel Futhwa was shot in Ramaphosa Extension Five and was rushed to hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The second victim was also shot last year at about 11pm on Friday, November 28, outside Bongani’s tavern in the Delmore Informal Settlement. He was identified as 28-year-old Sanele Mazibuko, and it is believed that he was shot by a man known only as “Masebe”.
The third man was gunned down this year at about 11pm on Friday, November 6, also in Ramaphosa Extension Five. The victim sustained gun shot wounds to his upper body. An ambulance rushed him to hospital but he died later as a result of the gun shots wounds. The deceased was identified as Stanford Zungue.
