Police raid ‘drug den’; crack cocaine seized
Police arrested a 26-year-old woman suspected of running a drug den in Reiger Park, on Wednesday afternoon, November 4.
Acting on information supplied by residents, police kept the suspected den on Martin Du Preez Street under observation.
While monitoring the house, officers witnessed a suspicious 18-year-old man entering the property.
When leaving the property, waiting officers approached the man and asked to search him. They allegedly found two packets of dagga in his possession.
He was placed under arrest.
The arrests prompted the police to raid the suspected den.
Here they found crack cocaine, six mandrax tablets and three packets of Cat.
A total of R3 426 70, believed to be proceeds of crime, was also confiscated.
The raid resulted in the arrest of the 26-year-old woman, from whom the man allegedly bought the drugs.
She was charged with dealing in drugs. -@FanieFLK
