East Point’s stores remain open for business

As East Point (previously East Rand Galleria Shopping Centre) progresses through its renovations, trading continues from a broad variety of stores.

“Certain areas of the mall have already begun revealing the future look. Spacious and bright walkways are complemented by high glass store fronts.

“From the new public facilities to the Pick n Pay corridor, we’re excited to see a few glimpses already emerging of our revamped centre and we’ve had positive feedback from our customers and store owners so far,” says Marietjie Pienaar, East Point Centre Manager.

“While the upgrades are ongoing, numerous stores within East Point remain trading. In fact, as upgraded areas of the mall are completed, new stores continue to open their doors to the public.

“Montagu Dried Fruit and Nuts, for instance, is currently trading opposite Pick n Pay in its new space. In the coming months, new exciting stores will follow.”

For healthy snack options, Idelic Fruit & Nut offers shoppers a wide variety and will be opening their store in August.

Bidvest Bank also opens their new store soon, providing customers with additional banking services.

In September, Ninos restaurant is set to open its doors offering Italian cuisine to East Point customers.

The following stores are currently trading and are fully operational at East Point: 3 @ 1, Bargain Books, Bidvest Bank, Bidvest Waltons Stationers, Cajees, Carlton Hair, Cell Zone, Dischem, Fashion World, Flight Centre, Game, Golden Goose, Montagu Dried Fruit and Nuts, Placecol, Spec Savers, Signature Cosmetics, Shoe City and Toys R Us.

Stores that continue to trade with minimal disruptions include Barber Lou, Multiserve, Nike Factory Store, Omit Tobacco, Parrots, Pep, Simply Socks and Superior Tattoo, Burger King, KFC, Pick n Pay Liquors and Pick n Pay Hypermarket.

“Certain stores, such as Barber Lou, which is currently located in the Pick n Pay passage near the Pick n Pay entrance, will be relocating soon, but shoppers are requested to ask any of our friendly security personnel in-centre for directions should they not be able to locate their favourite outlet.”
