According to Santi Steinmann, media liaison officer Netcare 911, paramedics arrived at the scene and found a motor vehicle in the middle of the roadway lying on its roof.
“Exact detail surrounding the cause of the rollover accident and preceding events are unclear and will remain the subject of a police investigation,” said Steinmann.
“Reports from the scene indicate that the woman’s vehicle made contact with another vehicle and then overturned.
“Upon assessment of the occupants, paramedics found that the woman travelling in the vehicle that overturned, sustained serious injuries during the rollover accident.
“The injured woman was treated at the scene and transported to hospital for further medical treatment.”
The occupant of the other vehicle was not injured during the accident.
