Another planned power supply interruption in Boksburg

In its continuous efforts to provide a stable and reliable electricity supply network to consumers, the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality (EMM) will be carrying out maintenance work in various substations in Germiston and Boksburg.

This is according to metro spokesperson, Themba Gadebe.

There will be a planned power supply interruption that will affect Boksburg and surrounding areas on Monday, June 15 from 7am until 5pm.

The following are names of substation where maintenance will be carried out and the areas that will be affected:

Albermarle substation – Albermarle Proper and extensions 1 and 2, Dinwiddie, Norton Small Farm, Union Proper and all extensions.

Atom Road substation – Castleview Proper and extensions 4,5,6,7,8,9 and 10, Wadeville Proper, KAL 110-IR, Wadeville extension 1,4,5 and 6, Dinwidde Proper and extension 4 and KAL (Estera).

Calcium substation – Wadeville Proper,Wadeville extensions 2 and 32 and KAL 110-IR.

Nampak substation – Roodekop Industrial, Rondebult and extension 2, Rondebult extension 3 and 27, Rondebult extension 23 and 1 and Leondale Township.

Niemann Road substation – Buhle Park and surrounding areas, KAL 196-IR and Rondebult Proper.

Phumula substation – Phumula Township (Roodekop Ext 21),Roodekop extension 22, Roodekop extension 11, Mapleton extension 10.

Russel road substation – Castleview and extensions 4,5,6,7,8 and 9, Estera, Klippoortje (Lambton), Norton Small Farm and all extensions, Union and extension 24.

Roodekop industries substation – Roodekop Industries, Roodekop extension 31 and Leondale. – @NalediBoksburg
