Seven people injured in Atlas Road collision
Seven people were injured in the early hours of this morning (May 10) in a collision involving two cars, at the intersection of Atlas and Elizabeth roads, in Boksburg.
Among the seven, was a woman believed to be 23 years of age, who sustained critical injuries.
ER24 spokesperson Chitra Bodasing said when ER24 paramedics and other services arrived on scene they found one vehicle on its roof on the road and another in the emergency lane.
“The woman who had sustained critical injuries was found lying in her friend’s arms next to the vehicle that had overturned,” said Bodasing.
A man, the driver of the vehicle, and another woman from the same vehicle sustained moderate injuries.
Four men from the second vehicle sustained minor injuries.
All patients were treated and transported to hospital for further medical care.
The exact cause of the collision is unknown.
