Sabre Tooth Kickboxing Academy shows its teeth
Following their recent impressive showing at the GFC Championships, the Sabre Tooth Kickboxing Academy continued with its fine form at the Mixed Martial Arts South African Championships in Brakpan.
Three of the members were crowned South African champions in their respective divisions.
Brandon Quinn, Matthew du Plessis and Christine Lesar won gold to put their academy on the map on the March 21 event.
Quinn triumphed in his welterweight No GI Grappling fight with Du Plessis and Lesar emerging victorious in their pigeon weight semi-contact and junior weight semi-contact respective bouts.
Quinn also won two silvers for No GI Grappling.
Sheldon Victor and Nackita Peek kept Sabre Tooth’s medal tally ticking as they won silver in their respective junior welterweight and senior straw weight contests.
The academy also sent an exclusive vote of gratitude to Masonic Liquors for sponsoring the event.
