Elderly resident allegedly killed by intruders
A Sett Street elderly resident was found dead at his home and his house ransacked on April 1.
Lieut Juanita Coetzer, spokesperson of the Boksburg Norh SAPS, confirmed the incident.
“It appears the murder is linked to a possible house robbery during which the owner was killed.”
A source, who wished to remain anonymous, told the Advertiser the man was found lying on the floor with both his hands and feet tied.
Although the cause of death is unknown, the source told the Advertiser that it appears as if the man might have been strangled.
It is not clear if anything was stolen from the house. No forced entry was reported as the front door and the main gate were found open when the man’s wife arrived home.
No suspects have been arrested.
