Video: Coin vehicle robbery chase linked to Secunda heist

Witnesses said two armed young men were involved in the robbery and wore what looked like bulletproof vests over white T-shirts.
One shot the guard while the other one grabbed the money.
They then fled the scene.
Spar personnel bandaged the guard’s wound while they were waiting for an ambulance.
Earlier today the Advertiser reported that the police were involved in a chase after a cash-in-transit robbers, which passed by behind the Advertiser’s offices, on Rondebult Road, heading towards the N12, Johannesburg.
They were allegedly chasing the same robbers that fled from the Secunda scene, in a White Golf 6, registration DJ 42 SW GP.
However, according to Boksburg-North spokesperson, Juanita Coetzee, there were four suspects being chased.
The van robbed is a CIT Secunda Protea Coin Van.
