Women paint the town pink
A fund-raiser, in aid of breast cancer and hosted by FitFans, was recently held at the Italian Club, in Boksburg.
Guests at the ladies’ night cocktail evening were entertained with live music from East Rising and Singer.
There was also a photo booth for guests to make memories, Kizomba and Salsa from Ed, and Natasha Wyatt of Baila Africa, as well as live auctions and a lot of fun courtesy of Hayward Diamonds and their giveaways.
MC Michaella Russell, who plays Charlie in Isidingo, had fun with the crowd, and celebrity guests included Odelle de Wet and Candice Boucher, who supported the initiative.
The evening was intended to create breast cancer awareness and for guests to be checked and understand how to check themselves, with the understanding that prevention is better than cure.
The goal was to raise at least R3 000 for the Pink Drive, to assist with educating women on breast cancer awareness; this goal was passed and R5 000 was raised. – @CarmenBoksburg
