Ekurhuleni health district employees awarded for service rendered

Tambo Memorial Hospital, Mary Moodley Community Health Centre, Jabulane Dumane Community Health Centre and Natalspruit Hospital won awards during the Dinaledi Service Excellence Awards.

The ceremony was held to honour staff members and teams providing good quality service to patients and members of the community.

Staff members from these health facilities scooped awards in the following individual categories: Best Doctors and Dentists, the Cecilia Makiwane Nurses Award, allied professional and the auxiliary clinical staff.

New Natalspruit Hospital received recognition awards for its wound care and male medical circumcision group projects, while Tambo Memorial received awards for the positive parenting project; the journey of motherhood and electronic gatekeeping projects.

According to the Gauteng Department of Health Communications chief directorate, Simon Zwane, the Dinaledi Service Awards recognises efforts of employees within the Ekurhuleni Health District for going above and beyond the call of duty to improve the quality of service delivery to the sick and those vulnerable to illness. – @IschkeBoksburg
