ADT arrests burglary suspect

ADT officers arrested a suspect and recovered stolen goods, in Beyers Park, on June 17.

According to Clive Humphrey, MD of ADT Central Region, a suspect triggered the security alarm at a store when he broke a window to gain access.

“ADT reaction officer Eugene Ndlovu was first on the scene and spotted a man leaving the store, carrying a computer and a small cash box.

“Ndlovu apprehended the suspect and handed him over to the Boksburg North SAPS,” he says.

Humphrey adds that the suspect gained easy access to the building because the property was unfenced, and stresses the need for good perimeter security.

“Perimeter security is just as important for businesses as it is for private residences, because it is your property’s first line of defence,” he says. – @CarmenBoksburg
