According to Capt Tsekiso Mofokeng, spokesperson for the provincial SAPS, a domestic worker noticed a suspicious vehicle outside her employer’s house and called her employer at work.
“The owner arrived at his home accompanied by another man. While confronting the men in the vehicle they were shot at by the suspects inside.”
Mofokeng says that the homeowner was seriously wounded and the other man died at the scene.
Russel Meiring, spokesperson for ER24, says that when paramedics arrived at the scene they found both men lying on the side of the road.
He says that paramedics assessed the patients and found that one of the men had no signs of life.
“They treated the second man for gunshot wounds to his lower body and transported him to a nearby hospital for further medical treatment,” says Meiring.
An Emer-G-Med ambulance was first on scene, and transported the injured victim to hospital
