Drill Man con-artist arrested again

The scam artist who was arrested for “borrowing” electric drills and then selling them, was arrested again in Benoni, on May 20.

The Advertiser previously reported that the same man had been arrested on April 27.

According to Lieut Juanita Coetzer, communications officer for the Boksburg North SAPS, the man was arrested by the Benoni SAPS.

She adds that when he was interviewed the first time, he allegedly told SAPS members that he would “borrow” a drill from someone and tell them he moved in next door to the resident, and he wants to fix lights on his walls.

“He then sells the drill to anyone who will give him a little money for it, and then he uses the money to buy illegal substances,” says Coetzer.

“When the suspect gets cornered or desperate he becomes very aggressive. If you do not want to buy the drill from him, he will also get aggressive.”
