Eskom implements load-shedding
Eskom will start implementing rotational load-shedding from 9am this morning.
The load-shedding will be according to the published load-shedding schedules available at https://loadshedding.eskom.co.za/ for Eskom customers.
Municipal customers may contact their own municipalities for the correct schedules.
Eskom customers can also contact the customer call centre on 0860 037 566.
Eskom calls on consumers to urgently switch off geysers, pool pumps and all non-essential appliances throughout the day to further reduce the impact of rotational load-shedding.
It is anticipated that load-shedding will continue until 10pm tonight.
However, if Eskom has receive the necessary savings from all its customers and the situation improves, load-shedding will be terminated earlier.
Customers are cautioned to treat all electrical connections as live during this period.
Eskom had declared an emergency at 6am this morning, and asked key industrial customers to reduce load by 10 per cent.
This is bad i have a 2yr old at home with no lights from the morning its cold whàt does shé eat? How damn inconsiderate.
This is disgusting, how much can we deduct from our electricity accounts for loss of earnings for work from home? What have they done with all the money they have acquired over the last 5 years or so, with the huge bills we are getting they should have sorted this all out, but no doubt it has gone to HUGE BONUSES AND OVER THE TOP PARTIES ):

The Eskom web site is extremely vague.
