Boy (6) discovered with genitals cut off
A case of attempted murder is investigated by the police.
Boksburg police are investigating a case of attempted murder after a six-year-old boy, whose genitals had been removed, was found in a veld near Blue Sky informal settlement on February 28.
Information remain sketchy at this point, but it’s believed that the boy lives in the informal settlement.
According to Boksburg SAPS station commander Colonel Matshedeso Mbele, paramedics transported the little boy to Tambo Memorial Hospital for treatment.
The hospital CEO, Zenzo Ndabula, and a welfare organisation confirmed that the boy’s genitals were removed.
According to Ndabula, the boy has been transferred to the Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital.
The police said the boy is currently in a stable condition and slowly recovering.
“Our members were called to the hospital yesterday (March 1) and they registered a case of attempted murder.”
Investigations are underway.
