All Africa Championships: SA march on to last four

The final will be played at 15:00.

The South African badminton team will face Egypt in the semi-finals of the All Africa Senior Championships at John Barrable Hall on February 16.

The hosts beat Zambia 3-0 in their quarter-final clash on February 15 while the Egyptians brushed aside Uganda 3-1 in their last eight match.

This is a repeat of last year’s last four clash in which the South African men’s team were beaten 3-1 by Egypt at the African men’s and women’s team championships in Uganda.

The Algerians made light work of Reunion, beating them 3-0 to set up a repeat of last year’s semi-final match where they beat the Mauritians 3-0.

The final will take place at 15:00.

• Algeria 3-2 Nigeria
