Donate handyman skills and materials for Mercy Haven’s renovation

The shelter was formed to house women and children that are abused.

Mercy Haven is renovating one of the houses on its premises (House of Claire) and needs donations of ceilings, cupboards, white eggshell paint and Chromadek sheeting.

According to the manager of the shelter for abused women, Maria Pereira, they also need a handyman who can fix roof leaks and repair ceilings.

“We are doing the renovations to upgrade the House of Claire, which will comprise a chapel, dining room, storeroom, lounges, kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms once completed.

“The work has already started and is necessary because this house can complement the other renovations that have already taken place at the shelter.

“Mercy Haven can only accommodate 25 children and women at the moment, “explained Pereira.
