SPCA Cheer Fund yet again a success
The Boksburg SPCA is thrilled about the support its Cheer Fund received from the community.
Boksburg, you have done it again!
You helped the Boksburg SPCA exceed its Christmas Cheer Fund target by R27 044 this year.
The fund opened in November, intending to raise R100 000 by January 15.
Last year, the society raised R132 915.
The SPCA raised funds for the refurbishment of its clinic (tiling and ceiling), puppy section (outdoor playpen), adoption kennels (new floors), medical kennel (upgrade) and 10 sterilisations for outreach.
Manager Vicky Finnemore expressed her gratitude to those who supported the initiative.
Businesses, schools and individuals opened their hearts to the society in support of the fund with amounts ranging from R100 to R50 000.
The Boksburg SPCA will now be able to complete a few projects, which include 10 new dog kennel fronts and floors and the refurbishment of the society’s office, cattery and adoption cattery.
