Reiger Park SAPS makes more arrests
A total of 32 suspects were arrested in the Reiger Park policing precinct during the period between November 14 and 21.
They were nabbed for crimes ranging from possession of drugs, possession of an unlicensed firearm, assault to cause bodily harm, theft, malicious damage to property, common robbery, warrant of arrest, illegal immigrants and dealing in liquor without a license.
Here is a breakdown of all the arrests made:
Assault GBH: 13
Theft: 4
Carjacking: 2
Common robbery: 2
Warrant of arrest: 1
Possession/dealing in drugs: 4
Malicious damage to property: 2
Possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition: 2
Illegal immigrant: 3
Drunk and driving under the influence: 4
With the planned festive season operations, police in the area vowed to go all out to prevent crime and act accordingly against those who disregard the law.
