Two arrested for robbery, stabbing in Windmill Park

The Dawn Park SAPS officers ensured the suspects are arrested.

The Dawn Park SAPS arrested two suspects in Blouborsie Street, Windmill Park, on September 7, in connection with a house robbery on the same street on August 28 during which two women were stabbed.

According to the Dawn Park SAPS spokesperson, Sergeant Nkemeleng Mabula, the suspects were being sought in connection with the August robbery and investigations led officers to them and the arrests were successfully executed.

“On August 28, police responded to a house in Blouborsie Street and found two women injured.

“One of the victims explained that the suspects were carrying knives and that they were stabbed while trying to stop them from taking their valuables.

“A case of house robbery and attempted murder was opened and their investigations led to the arrest of the two suspects,” she said.

Mabula added that Dawn Park SAPS has implemented various measures to fight crime in the area.

“We do awareness campaigns and crime-fighting operations weekly and our officers patrol every day to find perpetrators of crime, including those responsible for the spate of murders that have occurred in our policing area.”
