#comrades2022: Results from Boksburg athletic clubs

The Comrades Marathon is a prestigious race that takes place yearly in South Africa.

The Boksburg Athletic Club celebrated after veteran runner Lindy-Lee Folscher claimed a top 20 finish in the women’s category of the Comrades Marathon run on August 28.

Folscher was the 14th woman to cross the finish line, clocking 07:07:37 to win the Isabel Roche-Kelly medal.
Paul Kasu was the club’s first male at the finish line. He completed the race at 07:19:39 to win a silver medal.
Jabulani Gamede claimed the club’s second silver after finishing in a time of 07:20:07. He also finished second in the 60+ age category.

A total of 54 runners lined up in the club’s colours in Pietermaritzburg with 46 completing the race.
The club’s medal haul includes seven Bill Rowan medals, nine Robert Mtshali medals, 13 bronze medals, 14 Vic Clapham medals, two silver medals and one Isabel Roche-Kelly.

Qhubeka Athletic Club
Of the 36 runners that started the event, 34 crossed the finish line at Moses Mabhida Stadium.
Seboni Rabaloi was the club’s runner to cross the finish line, achieving his feat in a time of 08:02:18.

Luciah Bonoko was the club’s first female runner at the finish, clocking 08:55:24.
All in all, the club achieved 10 Vic Clapham medals, nine bronze medals, nine Robert Mtshali medals and six Bill Rowan medals.
