Dawn Park police arrest three men in possession of dagga

A case of possession of drugs has been opened at the Dawn Park Police Station for the suspects.

The Dawn Park SAPS arrested three suspects who were found in possession of dagga at 14:00 at Lindelani informal settlement on July 14.

According to the spokesperson of Dawn Park Police Station, Sergeant Nkemeleng Mabula, the suspects were arrested because they are suspected to be selling dagga in their area.

“The SAPS Crime Prevention Unit made the arrest. This happened after the unit was tipped-off by one of the residents in the informal settlement that people are buying illicit substances from the homeowner.

“The unit went to the property and found the owner and two other men inside the shanty. They conducted a search, which led to the recovery of the dagga.”
