Boksburg North SAPS apprehend a 28-year-old man for robbing a man of his belongings in Cason Road, on the morning of June 16.
According to Boksburg North SAPS spokesperson Constable Justice Ramaube, the 52-year-old victim told police he was riding to work on his bicycle when he was approached by two men.
The men grabbed him by his clothes and pointed a firearm at him.
“They took away his bicycle, cellphone and wallet. The suspects then drove in the direction of Rietfontein Road. On his way to the police station, the victim noted a police van explained to the officers what happened,” said Ramaube.
One suspect was subsequently tracked down at a casino in the Boksburg North precinct.
He is facing a charge of armed robbery.
The other robber is still at large.
