Men found in car that crashed through wall had been shot

One of the men in the car had already died from numerous gunshot wounds when paramedics arrived.

On Friday night (April 22), a man was killed and another injured in a shooting in Asquith Road, in Boksburg, according to Russel Meiring, communications officer for ER24.

“ER24 arrived at 20h20 to find the local authorities already in attendance,” he explained.

“A light motor vehicle, riddled with bullet holes, was found smashed through a boundary wall. A man was lying in the driver’s seat while another man had already been pulled from the car.

‘Medics assessed the men and found that the man inside the vehicle had already succumbed to his numerous gunshot wounds. The other man was found with two gunshot wounds to his right arm.

“The man was treated and transported to a nearby hospital for further care.

“Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.”
