Boksburg North SAPS successes

Boksburg North SAPS, under the command of Lt-Col Thembi Skhosana, seized a firearm and ammunition on March 11 during the station’s crime prevention duties in its policing precinct.

According to Boksburg North SAPS spokesperson Const Justice Ramaube, while on duty, some of the members noticed three men, suspected to be illegal miners, in the vicinity of Main Reef Road.

“Police gave chase. The men ran in different directions when realising police are on their heels.

“However, during that period, police discovered an abandoned Zabala double-barrel shotgun with ammunition and confiscated it as per the Firearm Control Act 60 of 2000,” said Ramaube.
