No leads on murder of two women found in Windmill Park

Police are awaiting the post mortem results to determine cause of death.

The Dawn Park SAPS is still investigating the death of best friends Tshepiso Ntomane (40) and Retshedisitse Phatswane (31), who were found dead in a veld in Windmill Park close to the Rooikraal landfill site on January 2.

Dawn Park SAPS spokesperson Const Nkemeleng Mabula said they are still waiting for the full post-mortem report to determine how the two women were killed and whether they were raped or not.

However, Mabula also specified it is hard for them to state if any valuable items were taken from the victims because no one has come forward to inform them about any missing items.

“We haven’t received any leads about the killers, but we are still investigating.

“If any person has any information, they should call Capt Sihle Mazibuko on 082 822 8125/011 862 8017/8 or 08600 10111,” said Mabula.

The families of both deceased said they haven’t had any feedback from the Dawn Park SAPS on information that could lead to the arrest of the perpetrator/s.

Both families are distressed and saddened by the untimely death of their family members.

However, Ntomane’s sister, Seipati, said her sister was wearing a white T-shirt, black trousers and white Nike sneakers when she left home.

Phatswane’s family said they can’t recall what she was wearing on the day she left home.
