Boksburg North SAPS to work together with security stakeholders to reduce crime

The meeting was part of ongoing process to improve the relationship between police, security companies and other stakeholders.

A few local security companies, together with Boksburg North Firearm Office, Boksburg North SAPS station commander Mack Mngomezulu and head of Visible Policing Capt Sibusiso Radebe converged to curb crime as a team on January 28.

“During the meeting, the firearm office handed out a guideline regarding conditions of handling of a licensed firearm for business purposes.

“Meanwhile, Mngomezulu outlined a way forward for greater teamwork,” said Boksburg North SAPS spokesperson Const Justice Ramaube.

“The most important part was done by Rajsh Chianthambi of PRISA who provided insights regarding the Security Act that needs to be complied to, especially by security businesses. Further guidelines will be provided about that part.”
