Join Hospice in paying tribute to lost loved ones

Hospice East Rand invites the public to join its annual Candles of Remembrance ceremony.

The event, which will be held online at 17:00 on December 5, allows residents to pay tribute to their lost loved ones in the safety and comfort of their homes.

“As the year starts drawing to a close, we reflect on the past and in doing so remember our loved ones lost along the way. Hospice East Rand invites you to join us to honour your loved ones.

“We welcome community members to light a candle at home and enjoy the event via our Facebook page or YouTube,” said Jonquil Siepman, marketing and media relations officer for Hospice East Rand.

Siepman added that they also have their special Wall of Remembrance on their website and invite families and friends to share their special message of hope, recall a happy memory or simply offer encouragement to others when donating. These messages will be screened during the event as well.
