The Boksburg North police have confirmed a jewellery store in East Rand Mall was robbed this afternoon.
According to the mall’s general manager, Petra Foord, no injuries were reported and no shots were fired.
“Our security reacted quickly and we would like to commend the SAPS for their speedy response. The safety of all at the mall is of utmost importance to us.
“We have extensive security measures enhanced by a good relationships with the SAPS and our local CPF.
“The mall is currently trading as normal,” Foord said in a statement.
Details of what actually happened during the attack are still sketchy.
