Process
They had to register their details on the Department of Health’s website and then wait for a confirmation SMS.

During the vaccination process at the site, healthcare workers had to queue in the waiting area then they were moved to the registration area where vaccinators took down their details, including their voucher numbers.

Seated inside the registration area are some of the healthcare workers who got vaccinated at Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital on March 5.

Once they were done with registration they were then taken to the assembly hall where they were given one-shot vaccines. Before leaving the assembly hall they had to wait for about 10 minutes to be observed before being allowed to leave the hall.

Phase One
The country’s vaccination rollout is still in phase one where health workers across the country will until next month be inoculated with the Johnson and Johnson vaccine.
