Rovers halt Blues’ good start

Blues get wake up call

Rovers brought the Boksburg Football Club back to earth with a 2-0 win in Alberton to hand the Blues their first defeat of the season in their veterans clash on December 2.

Rovers netted on either side of the half-time break on route to the victory, which maintains their unbeaten run after four rounds of play.

Speaking of the game, Blues player-coach Ernest Seforo lamented: “It was a great game to watch. We created a lot of opportunities, but our final decision-making was very poor. That’s why our opponents got fewer chances but used them.

“I am happy we played as a team. We just couldn’t use our chances wisely.”

In Kempton Park, CBC Old Boys fell 3-2 to Bonaero. Colin Sandwell and Shiraz Ebrahim netted the goals for the local outfit.

The Blues travelled to Kempton Park last night (December 7) to take on Bonaero 74. Old Boys also travelled to Kempton Park to take on the log leaders. Both Boksburg sides will again be in action tomorrow (December 9). All results will be reported on imminently.
