Business as usual for St Dom's' triumvirate

St Dominic’s Catholic School for Girls Grade 12 trio Amoria Mazibuko, Morgan Robinson and Rebecca Ryan recently left a mark during the 2020 South African Council for English Education (Sacee) creative writing competition.

The triumvirate was placed in the top three categories for senior poetry during the competition, with Mazibuko winning gold and Robinson and Ryan both winning silver.

Sacee is an organisation dedicated to the promotion of the English language. Founded in 1955, Sacee aims to maintain, promote and encourage education through the medium of English and to improve the standards of written English and spoken English in South Africa.

The national projects of Sacee are the Publication of English Alive, an annual anthology of writings from schools and colleges and the De Beer’s English Olympiad, an annual literary competition for learners in high schools and colleges.
