Easterns confirms return of football

Local football lovers get their wish

The South African Football Association (SAFA) recently released a press release indicating the return of all football.

However, local amateur football controlling body Eastern Local Football Association (ELFA) has still put all football on hold despite SAFA’s call.

The association explained that it needed direct instruction from SAFA before resuming the game on amateur level.

The Advertiser can now confirm that SAFA has given the ELFA word that amateur football can resume, albeit under strict conditions to ensure a safe return.

Meanwhile, the Boksburg Football Club’s junior and senior teams have returned to training – so too have the club’s veteran and ladies teams.

Furthermore, the veteran and ladies leagues are scheduled to kick-off on Wednesday, November 11.

Juniors and seniors’ respective leagues are scheduled to kick-off in February next year until October.
