Miss Boksburg founder wins award for best pageant organiser
Faith said the award is going to open doors for her in the future and help her get sponsors for Miss Boksburg
Founder of Miss Boksburg Faith Gounder held Boksburg’s name high when she recently won a South African Models Award (SAMLA) for best pageant organiser.
SAMLA is about honouring and celebrating inspirational models in South Africa.
Faith explained she was nominated for the award following the success of the Miss Boksburg pageant, which she started in 2018.
She said she is over the moon about winning the award.
I’ve been going all out with the Miss Boksburg competition and I feel like I deserve to get recognition. I had to go through a voting process to win this award; however, I didn’t ask people on social media to vote for me. I decided that I will win if it’s meant to be,” she said.
She expressed her gratitude towards everybody who supported her and voted for her.
The Richfield Graduate Institute of Technology student was also nominated for a SAMLA in the best community changer model category, but didn’t walk away with that award.
