Library donated to Goedehoop Primary

Principal of the school José Grotewold said the library will add value to the school

On October 14, Imperial and Motus Community Trust handed over a library resource centre to Goedehoop Primary School, the 46th library supported by the trust.

The principal of the school, José Grotewold, expressed his gratitude towards the trust for the sponsorship.
“The facility will not only add value to the school, but will add much-needed value in the lives in our learners, parents and community members. It will also be a good way for some learners to escape from their daily struggles.”

José Grotewold, principal of Goede Hoop Primary, said the entire community is going to benefit from the library.

Shayda Arbee, executive manager and trustee of the Imperial and Motus Community Trust, said there is a need for libraries in primary schools.
“Reading is of upmost importance and we want to encourage learners to read and look after books,” said the executive manager.
A Grade Six learner of the primary school, Maria Maziduko, said she is excited about the library.
“I’m happy that I can do schoolwork and learn at the library,” she said.
