Nova Pioneer Boksburg celebrates Grandparents Day by donating toiletries

On the day, teachers Charlene Thomson and Mandy William were accompanied by learners, who observed all Covid-19 health and safety measures as they handed over the donation

Nova Pioneer Boksburg campus staff and learners recently celebrated Grandparents Day at retirement village SAVF Huis Dien Bothma, where they donated toiletries and pleasantries to the elderly.

“We celebrated Grandparents Day by expressing our sincere gratitude to our senior citizens with a small token of appreciation. We believe the elderly continue to play an important role in nurturing our lives and instilling moral values to our societies. Therefore, we see it as our collective duty to care for them,” said Luciel Morgan, head of school.

Tiekie Mertens, manager at Huis Dien Bothma, expressed her gratitude towards the school for making a contribution.

“SAVF Huis Dien Bothma would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff and learners of Nova Pioneer for their generous donation of toiletries and snacks,” the manager said.
