Support Round Table’s new Playground Project

EXCERPT: The organisation is raising funds so they can build playgrounds at less fortunate schools and children’s homes.

Round Table Boksburg 17, in association with Round Table Gauteng Area, are excited about their new Playground Project that is set to put smiles on many children’s faces.
The local Round Table’s chairperson, Jean-Claude Duarte, explained the project is aimed at raising funds for the building of playgrounds/jungle gyms.
Duarte said during their community outreaches, tablers noticed many children's homes and schools didn’t have play areas for their children.
“Hence, we’re appealing to community members to make a donation towards this project so we can build playgrounds at less fortunate schools and children's homes. It would be appreciated if community members or corporates could make a contribution. No donation is too small. The more money we raise, the more playgrounds we can build. With your help, we can change the lives of these children.
“Play is such an important part of a child’s development. There is the physical activity element, as well as social and emotional benefits that comes from playtime. We all remember how much fun we had and the relationships we created by simply having fun on the playground,” Duarte said.
The chairperson highlighted the project will run till December and tablers will try to build playgrounds for as many homes/schools as possible.
