Phillip Singawuge was handed lengthy jail term for house break-in and theft in the Boksburg Magistrates’s Court on June 25.
The 34-year-old man was arrested in August last year for housebreak-in and theft after the complainant told the police that when he woke up at his house on March 13, 2014, he found his door wide open and his belongings, including a TV, missing.
A case of housebreak-in and theft was opened and the case was assigned to Det Const Siphephelo Mdunyelwa.
Through the diligent and thorough investigation of Mdunyelwa, he traced the suspect to Lindelani SAPS where he had been arrested on another housebreak-in case.
